Courses Details

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
 
Duration: 4 Years (8 Semesters)
Eligibility:
 
    Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with Biology or Mathematics.
 
    Minimum aggregate marks: 50% for General category; 40% for SC/ST category.
 
    Candidates with a background in vocational studies or the National Open School are not eligible.
 
Course Highlights:
 
    Comprehensive curriculum covering pharmacology, pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry, pharmacognosy, and pharmaceutical analysis.
 
    Emphasis on practical training through laboratory sessions, industry visits, and internships.
 
    Equips students with the knowledge to work in pharmaceutical manufacturing, R&D, clinical pharmacy, and regulatory sectors.
 
    Encourages further education such as M.Pharm, Pharm.D, MBA in healthcare, or doctoral research.



 
Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm)
 
Duration: 2 Years
Eligibility:
 
    Pass in 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with Biology or Mathematics.
 
Course Highlights:
 
    Focuses on the foundational principles of pharmacy practice.
 
    Curriculum includes pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, hospital and clinical pharmacy, and community pharmacy.
 
    Prepares students for roles in hospitals, community pharmacies, and retail pharmacy chains.
 
    Ideal stepping stone for pursuing B.Pharm or working as a registered pharmacist.
